Feast it Forward Japanese 7 Spice Noodles

  • 2 tbs Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Red chili pepper flakes to taste
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tbs cilantro
  • 1 cup greens
  • whole grain noodles
  • your choice of protein: tofu, shrimp or chicken


Mix the Japanese 7 Spice blend, olive oil, sesame oil, honey, soy sauce and red chili pepper flakes together in a heated skillet. Cook for 3­5 minutes on low heat. Strain out the chili pepper flakes. Toss in green onions, carrots, cilantro, and greens and saute until the greens wilt. Add in cooked, whole grain noodles and a protein, like tofu, shrimp, or chicken, and stir everything up. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve warm or cold.
